I led the hands on design of a suite of icons for IBM to align with their new typeface, IBM Plex. We strategically identified ways to connect the forms of the icons with distinct moments from the typeface. From blunt terminals to sharp interiors, me and my team systematically applied small touches, defined a new diagonal 32x32 pixel grid, and developed stroke sizes that would help icons work as small as 32pixels wide to as large as 2 feet. In total we developed 350+ icons that aligned with the new brand.
